Just Fishin'

"We're gonna go fishing tomorrow," I told Phoenix with a smile.
"Cool. Is Grandma gonna be there?" he asked.
"I don't know, we'll see," I replied.

Well, wouldn't ya know grandma cancelled her plans to watch Ken's tae kwon do match, so she could go fishing with Phoenix, and I think they both loved every minute of it!

Just Fishin' by Trace Adkins

I’m lost in him there holdin’ that rod and reel
He’s doin’ almost everything but sittin’ still

Talkin’ ‘bout trucks and busses
And his sister
And he thinks we’re just fishin’

I say, “I love you, baby” one more time
He says, “I love you too. I think I got a bite!”

And all this laughin’, cryin, smilin’ dyin’ here inside’s
What I call, livin’

And he thinks we’re just fishin’ on the riverside

Throwin’ back what we couldn't fry

Drownin’ worms and killin’ time

 Nothin’ too ambitious

He ain’t even thinkin’ ‘bout

What’s really goin’ on right now

But I guarantee this memory’s a big’in

And he thinks we’re just fishin’
